Sidebar on DW is now updated to include links to the Warsverse timeline, ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
houseofpevensie, and my delicious page. I thought all of those had already been there, but, uh, apparently not! There have been a few people here and there asking about the fic in the timeline leading up to Dust: that is the Warsverse. All links except the most recent one currently go to LJ; at some point this summer, at least the major fic links (including all of Dust, argh) will be updated to point to DW instead. I have not yet decided if I am going to move all my fic off LJ to DW.
That pointed out, hi! I know there are a few new people here, and I have been way too busy to give a proper introduction/welcome, so I shall attempt to do that now.

bedlamsbard; I go by Bedlam or Bed, generally. My RL name is Katrina, which is hilarious in a kind of horrible way because I currently attend Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. I'm a Medieval and Early Modern Studies and Classical Studies double-major with a minor (or possible third major, depending) in British literature. I am at the moment vaguely planning on being a professor, so I spend a lot of time panicking about whether or not I can get into grad school and what I'm going to study. My thing is, generally speaking, military history. I just finished up my second year of university and am, at the moment, back home in Washington State for the summer. I live in central Washington, on the other side of the Cascades from Seattle; it does not rain much here, and I live in a fairly rural farming/ranching town that is also home to Central Washington University. We also have a rodeo.
I am cis-female, probably queer, pantheistic pagan, read a lot, knit a lot, drink a lot of tea (mostly green), and bake an awful lot. I'm half-Japanese; my grandparents on my mother's side and the majority of my mother's family still live in Japan, and my grandfather and uncle are Buddhist priests. The temple is attached to the house; it is absolutely gorgeous. Sadly, I do not speak Japanese; I managed to fulfill the core language requirement at Tulane by taking Japanese up through 203, then promptly forgot it all. My father is American of Scandinavian descent and not particularly religious; I have a very, very strange view of the world due to being raised mostly on the Greek myths. This has proven troublesome at times, and often I freak out because I just do not get Christianity, like, whatsoever. (I also apparently have issues about identity; thank you, fandom, and also all those little checkboxes for race and ethnicity on college applications. I also have father issues; we shall not go into this.)
My main fandom is Narnia; I write a combination book- and movie-verse, which is quite exciting and confusing. The current big project is Dust in the Air, an AU of The Last Battle where the world doesn't end and life goes on. The Warsverse is the universe that backs up Dust and includes a lot of worldbuilding fic, mostly Golden Age. There is also the Petaverse which, uh, will someday be posted, I swear!
Also, at some point recently I started writing Lion King fic, no idea what's up with that.
My closest friends at college include Alaska, Texas, New York, and Chicago. Up until yesterday (*tear*), Alaska, Texas, New York, and I shared a suite, but a slight housing crisis put us in different on-campus apartments for next year, so alas, I do not know how I will deal, although I shall still be in the same apartment as Texas. Alaska is pre-med, Texas is psych/Asian Studies, New York is English writing/film minor, and Chicago is gender and sexuality studies (GESS)/English lit. Chicago is going abroad to study at University College of London next year.
I am currently writing an original novel withaella_irene; the short description is here. aella_irene and I pass The Broccoli Test, despite never having met in RL; sometimes it is quite alarming. Also, there was the time she tweeted me and went, "You should totally read Daughters of Britannia!" and I went, "...I bought that last week!" So that was also alarming.
My favorite authors are S.M. Stirling, George R.R. Martin, Robin McKinley, Dennis Lehane, Tamora Pierce, and some other people that I will not go into because they are Controversial right now and I cannot deal with Controversy at this point in time. The TV shows I am watching at this point in time have been seriously curtailed because of school, but include: Fringe, Castle, Caprica, Lost, and I'm sure there's something that has more than one word in the title, but I can't think of it right now. My suitemates just got me into The Big Bang Theory, though, so I am caught up on that to S2. Oh, Criminal Minds! Cannot forget that. I heart Criminal Minds.
The only DVDs I brought to university this year were The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and seasons one through four of Battlestar Galactica (2003), although I am still not caught up on S4. My favorite movie is The Mummy, so I'm not sure why I didn't bring that DVD. And I think I have gone into all the boring parts of my life, unless you really want to hear about my stuffed animals (The Disney Store produces the softest stuffed animals ever, omg *hugs Simba*), so I will, uh, wrap this up.
