I wasn't thinking about this at the time when I was writing, but your comment reminds me of it -- there's an old Norse saga that I read for class this year, The Saga of King Hrolf Kraki, that has a series of events and characters of it that are based on real events, and real historical figures. However, the real historical figures existed some several hundred years apart, and were eventually conflated by the story-tellers for one reason or another. Not what I was thinking about when I was writing, and not what's in here -- but something to think about for the future. *prods*
I think that there are definitely some stories about Eustace and Jill, though hardly to the extent there are about the Pevensies, but they're not told much anymore because -- well, Eustace and Jill are there, and have been there for five years now, and haven't accomplished much in that time.
As for Aslan, well, I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing with him, but this is the second time he's shown up in Dust, so we'll see!
