Oooh, that sounds like fun. (Someday I will familiarize myself with the Dresden Files. Maybe.)

I like writing OCs. (And now, we shall have a moment of shock for the least surprising thing ever.) *hands* My biggest problem with writing OCs in Dust right now is that I keep having to backtrack and go, "Hmm, do I want this character to be male or female? Does it make a difference?" (I guess problem isn't the right word. Concern, maybe.) Sometimes I wish I'd made Elizar Confesor or Mayor female, though I'm not sure if that's because it would actually help the story or if I'm just worrying I have too many male characters.
