So, the bulk of this chapter is action, which I'm fine with, although it feels awfully self-indulgent sometimes. (No, really: out of about 5600 words so far, 2800 are action and probably another 1K is build-up. And there's about to be more action.)

At some point I should probably lampshade that this it the equivalent of the night raid in PC gone right, albeit on a smaller scale and with different complications. Damn, I really wish we had more VotDT promo pics of Eustace!

But! Exciting news! According to The Wardrobe Door, the VotDT trailer releases in TWO WEEKS OMG OMG OMG.

A few of the nonhuman players in this chapter: One. Two. Three. Four. *pause* This is a very cinematic chapter. Hopefully I haven't jinxed myself by babbling about it.

If it helps? One if not both of the stories I am working on now are COMPLETELY self indulgent. Fortunately I seem to be one of several who likes this sort of indulgence? IDEK.

I have long ago declared that Dust in and of itself is largely self-indulgent, since its relationship with canon is slim, the world-building is unsupported by canon, it combines movieverse and bookverse, and I get to write lots of action and subtext, all of which I feel Lewis would be horrified by. OH WELL.
