Nobody is outside, so there's no one to see Lucy as she rides through the village throwing burning brands onto the thatched roofs. By the time the screaming starts a few minutes later, she's already gone.

More Peter/Osumare?

The High King is laughing, rainwater running down his face and off the tip of his nose. Osumare pulls him close and kisses him despite the downpour, tangling his fingers in His Majesty's hair. A gust of warm wind wraps the sodden scarlet of the Narnian flag around a flagpole above them.

The one where immortal!Susan discovers Peter isn't the only sibling to rise from the dead.

"Pevensie, I've got an international call for you," Julie from downstairs says when Susan picks up her phone. "Says she's family?"

"Okay, put her through," Susan says, nodding thanks as Peter comes back with coffee for both of them. "This is Special Agent Susan Pevensie."

"Su? It's Lucy."

All cracks about the High King making split-second decisions aside, the argument goes on for days, even though everyone knows it was a foregone decision from the moment the Rising Sun left the Golden Steps. The War Council breaks for the evening after the sixth day sometime in the early morning hours, closer to sunrise than sunset, and Osumare follows the High King out onto the wide balcony that overlooks the ocean, breathing in the warm sea air. Fiorenza trails after both of them, pushing the heavy fall of her hair out of her face.
