what happens when fandoms mix

I'm reading Harry Potter, I'm writing Star Wars, so I keep thinking stuff like "Anakin Skywalker raised his wand -- no, shit, he doesn't use a wand. he's a freaking Jedi, Anakin raised his lightsaber -- no, shit, he doesn't use a lightsaber anymore either, Anakin punched the bastard in the face and pulled a blaster on him, okay, that's better."

We're just lucky I'm not watching a ton of CSI:NY right now, I'd be babbling about Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, galactic detectives who patrol the galaxy with forensic droids and gold badges.

The sad thing is I'm not even kidding.

Would Obi-Wan be Mac and Anakin would be Danny? But, then, would that make Obi-Wan Dumbledore and Anakin Harry? Because that could be kinda funny. Obi-Wan with a beard, screaming at Anakin, "But you were the chosen one!".

Obi-Wan is definitely not Dumbledore. Obi-Wan is probably Hermione, actually. *headdesk* Don't ask me who's Ron, because I think it's Artoo. Or Padme?

Hmm, or maybe Obi-Wan's Sirius -- except I think that makes Luke Harry, and Anakin James. Only James didn't go Dark Side.

I am writing a CSI:NY/Star Wars crossover, I swear to God. It's not direct character-character, though; it takes place right during the Purge and has Danny as Mac's Padawan, Flack as Gavin Moran's, and Stella as a starcruiser captain. Well, I'm supposed to be writing it for the alterego_thon, but I kind of want to write Star Wars as Supernatural instead. *debates furiously*

Your crossovers are kinda fantastic. And by kinda, I mean totally. And by totally, I mean ABSOLUTELY.

My "well, I like characters much more if I'm writing about them" thing has kicked in, and suddenly I like Padme a whole lot more than I did before. Plus, she's kind of important in "A Long Time Gone", which is...where I've been writing her. I loved her in TPM, not quite as much in AotC and RotS.

Heh, thanks. I like 'em too, or I would if I could write anything besides the Star Wars stories eating my brain. Hi, I include my ficathon stories there. *beats with sticks* (It would also be nice if hunter!Will would show up again. SPN S3, AWE on DVD. Maybe then. *crosses fingers*)
