You all must see this. Right now. Immediately. AT ONCE.

What is it, you ask?

Well. Do the words "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" trailer mean anything to you?

Yes. GO FORTH AND WATCH AND SQUEAK IN CHIPMUNK-LIKE JOY WITH ME.

So far, my only issue with it is that I had Caspian in my head as much younger.

Hmm, there is that, but if we say that a few years pass between the beginning of the book -- or, um, Caspian's flashback to his running away; it's been a while -- and the main narrative, I'm fine with it. I'm just really amused by the fact that he's probably older than Peter, but Peter is totally the High King. (Um. Peter is my favorite character.)

I thought -- it's been a while since I read the book -- that Caspian running away and the main narrative take place fairly soon after each other. But I could be wrong. And he ages a few years for Dawn Treader.

Yeah, I believe he defers to Peter after the battle, and they co-rule for a while before Peter et al go back to the 'real' world.

Yes, I think so. But it also makes logical movie sense for them to time it out, although I don't know if they're going to. And, for that matter, you can also assume that -- *checks book* Oh, never mind. Peter says that Caspian is "about his own age" and Peter's what, fourteen? Sixteen? Younger?

And he defers to Peter immediately, because Peter has, like, the air of the High King about him or something. But almost immediately after the battle Peter and Co. return to the real world; they don't hang around for anything, really. Which is a little sad.

(Man, this has me thinking about the novel I want to write which takes the classic "kids go to fantasy world and save it, then come home" story and turns it on its head. There's incest and trauma.)

I KNOW. Forget graduation (which is in June, for me), I want Narnia!
