three day weekend...

*collapses*

I have to do, um, all my journals for English (semester ends next week, due date is the 22nd); journals are twenty entries about a book of "literary merit" (yeah, yeah, we all know how I feel about that). This quarter, I'm reading "The Waste Land", by T.S. Eliot, and The Tempest. I have three done. I have to do twenty each.

And the Air Force e-mailed me. I have my AFROTC scholarship interview next week at the college. *wide eyes*

I have no fic, but I'm eyeing a few of the porn battle prompts thoughtfully, although they almost definitely won't be done by Sunday. Although I'm a little shocked by the fact that there are no Anakin/Obi-Wan prompts in the Star Wars section. None! I like some of the Eureka prompts, though, so expect some Jack/Nathan. *quietly pimps out previous Eureka fic*

Seriously, I need to start searching for new icons. *girds loins*

Isn't it keen to be 18, and able to discuss loins publicly? (yours, or those of others). ; )

Oh, please, I'm a high school girl. We were discussing loins a long time before any of us turned eighteen. *grin*

"The Waste Land" is, without a doubt, one of my favorite poems of all times. It's... god, just so rich, so elegant and beautiful and twisting and you have to dig beneath the surface to find the true meaning but it's so worth it.

*clings to you* Oh, God, tell me what it means. All I have out of it is that Eliot is out of his everloving mind and suddenly a bunch of fic titles make more sense. Oh, and that he quoted Hamlet, and that one of my favorite SGA icons ever is actually a quote from "The Waste Land."

Touche, that I must concede.

Alright, gimme a sec and I'll email you with everything i have. I think most of my notes are typed from this class (Modern British Lit, ugh, worst class ever except for this poem), but I'll scan in any of my hand-written notes, too. :D

Although I should probably note that I hang out with the "good girls", so there we go.
