a thought on tonight's csi:ny (no spoilers)

So, I missed this show. I mean, I watch a lot of TV now -- a lot; it's kind of my default background noise for writing -- but CSI:NY was my first, and in a lot of ways it's still my baby. I mean, I wrote my first novel-lengths for this. I know the characters. They're my boys and my girls; they still are, even after three, four years. And I missed them.

I didn't really realize that until tonight.

Also, man, I should keep a running tally of how many times I get jossed in a single episode. Man! Danny doesn't own the building, it's not above a bar, Flack can't pick locks -- or at least, he doesn't pick Danny's. *pause* Danny's apartment is really nice, isn't it? And where'd the damn pool table go? Also, the slash? So here.

(Also, I'm having Flack flashbacks to "The Fall" -- back in S1, ya know? Anyone else want to back me up?)

One of the best moments of the night? CBS's commercial for Dexter: "If Mac Taylor of CSI:NY took justice into his own hands...he'd be Dexter." HELLO SOMEONE WRITE THIS. SOMEONE WHO IS NOT ME, BECAUSE I ALREADY WENT THERE MINUS THE SERIAL KILLER THING AND PLUS THE MAFIA THING. Love, hearts, kisses, Bedlamsbard

I mean, it's still my show. God. I feel like someone whose baby has just gone out into the world. *sigh*
