end of the month fic in progress

Because I am bored. And when I am bored, I say, "this is what I should be doing!" (of course, this list does not include my Gov homework, because that would be boring).

Bad Moon Rising: Star Wars, Clone Wars-era, the one I keep fondly calling the Clone Wars rampage fic.
"You’re with me until this campaign is over, Skywalker, then I’m taking you back to Coruscant to face the Council for your defection.”

Defection?” Anakin demanded, disbelieving. “I didn’t defect.”

“Does it matter what you call it?” Mareq shrugged. “You walked out on a war. If you weren’t the precious Chosen One, you’d be lucky if you weren’t thrown out of the Order with the Force burned out of you. As it is, I feel sorry for the poor bastard that gets you as a Padawan. I hear Ki-Adi-Mundi’s been refusing to talk to anyone less than full Knight since he handed you back to Kenobi.”

Summerlong: Star Wars, early Clone Wars-era, the Anakin/Padme fluff.
“Naboo hasn’t had a summer like this for twenty years,” Padmé says. “I barely remember the last one – I was just a girl then. Sola and I practically lived in the lake.”

Anakin reaches out to touch her – the curve of her shoulder, the dark curl that’s fallen free of its bindings, the smooth line of her breastbone. “If it was ever this humid on Tatooine, everyone would panic,” he offers, because it’s expected. The thought hurts like sand in a raw wound. “They’d think the world was ending.”

What Is and What Should Never Be: Star Wars, AotC, AU where Qui-Gon lives and trains Anakin.
Obi-Wan glanced up to see a figure with a jetpack – how very crude – vanish into the busy Coruscant sky. “Skywalker,” he managed through gritted teeth, the fluctuations in the Force an unceasing battery on his sense. “Calm your mind.”

Skywalker looked around at him, startled. “What?”

Calm your mind,” Obi-Wan grated out and added at the boy’s blank expression, “You’re giving me a headache.”

Skywalker stared at him, anger abating with his confusion. “You want me to do what?”

A Long Time Gone: Star Wars, post-RotS, the second Lostverse story.
“You know,” Zsuzsi said, “half the time the winner isn’t who crosses the finish line first, it’s whoever’s left alive.” She glared at Nakin pointedly.

He shrugged, unrepentant, most of his attention on his third dial check. “I have raced before,” he pointed out. “Just not recently.” He flipped the energy consumption switches again – little low, but not unexpected. He hadn’t warmed up the pod yet; it ought to be fine by the time the race started. Ought to be.

Untitled: Star Wars, AU, the third Lostverse story. (Dates withheld. *wide eyes*)
"I know lots of things," Starkiller said, perfectly calm. "I know you were still a youngling when the Purge began, and I know a lot of good Jedi died to get you off-planet before the Temple fell. I know Aayla Secura was considering taking you as her Padawan once she got back to Coruscant. And I know you should have died before becoming what you've become."

"Which one are you?" Rayad' said slowly. "Qorsa? Del Rey? Malreaux? Kenobi?" He paused, thoughtful, and stepped over a body to get to clear ground. "Skywalker?"

Snafu: CSI:NY, S1, AU after "Tanglewood" (the first Bardverse story).
"Danny, are you working this case?"

He snatched the papers out of her hands and shoved them back into the folder. "Yes. No. Maybe -- I don't know. I know the perp, he asked me to give the file a once-over and see if there's anything the Lab missed when it went down -- I wouldn't have done it, only I couldn't sleep last night so I figured I might as well -- look, we'd better get going, all right?"

Untitled: Original, the Spaceforce story.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Shelton demanded, struggling. "Christ, no matter there are so many damn liberals in the country if this is how the government treats people who've just come back from a fucking war."

"Touch me and I'll take your hand off at the wrist," Sunstark said with deadly calm from somewhere nearby.

"I concur with the doc and the crazy alien general," Drew decided from her other side.
