My Danny...
...has always considered Eddie his favorite brother. Nate's stuck-up and way too perfect, and Chris is -- well, Chris is Chris.
...is losing his patience with the NYPD. He's seen too many cases go cold, seen too many criminals go free from the courts, seen too many lawyers and judges give in to innocent-looking perps. The Crime Lab and the detectives will do their jobs, but the courts don't listen. They seldom do, even when the perp's a serial killer and rapist. Danny can't count the number of times he's gone to court, testified in front of the jury, and watched the perp walk. He's seen the bodies, he's seen the families left behind, and he's seen the perps go away with barely a slap on the wrist. The families need justice, and the State of New York seldom gives it to them.
...never wanted to be a cop. He didn't want to be his father, he wanted to be his uncle Val.
...sometimes wonders what would have happened with his life if he hadn't broken his wrist, but seldom dwells on it.
...has never regretted shooting Curly Sassonoe.
...will swear to anyone the truth about the one thing every law enforcement officer wants -- not to break the law and get away with it, but to be the law.
...always expected to follow his uncle into the Constantine Family and is sometimes still surprised he's on the opposite side of the law.
...has never regretted walking away from Tanglewood or testifying against Vinnie Patriso.
...has always considered Spider-man his favorite superhero, but sympathizes more with Daredevil.
...has sometimes, after he's watched a perp walk free, pictured taking his gun and going after them.
...gets weekly updates on current Mafia activity and gossip from Val.
...understands the Mob better than he does the NYPD.
...worries about Mac replacing him in the lab, then wonders if he'd really care.
...worries that Flack will leave him when he finds out he's been sleeping with a mobster, not a cop.
...has only ever asked Mac once about his past. Was answered by a glare. Never asked again.
