The trailer for Gone Baby Gone is up. Gone Baby Gone is one of my favorite novels ever, by my absolute favorite author, Dennis Lehane; it would be so easy to fuck up the Kenzie-Gennaro stories because they're infinitely multi-layered; they look easy, but they're not. I hope Ben Affleck didn't fuck this up, because this one especially...*crosses fingers* Casey Affleck, who's playing Patrick, looks a little younger than I was picturing, and Michelle Monaghan doesn't fit the mental image of Angie -- who's supposed to look hardcore Italian -- but hopefully, the casting will be good despite the visual discrepancies.

*crosses fingers* I love Dennis Lehane with an unholy passion. Mystic River is one of my absolute favorite novels; I love the Kenzie-Gennaro series with the fire of a thousand burning suns. I just hope they don't screw this up, because it would be so damn easy. The trailer looks promising, though.
