Aug. 3rd, 2007 07:25 pmComment and I'll give you a letter. Then you have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. After, post this in your journal, and give out some letters of your own. Let me know if you want a letter.
I received the letter C from

1. CSI:NY: Lovely characters, a complex setup, and a setting that really functions as another character in the show.
2. chocolate: I have really simple tastes; I'm perfectly fine with Hershey's milk chocolate. Dark chocolate is good too; white chocolate's a no-go for me.
3. Clone Wars, the: A phantom menace! And not the real threat at all, just a front! And yet so traumatic and such a major influence on Anakin and Obi-Wan, and a definite lead-in to the fall of the Jedi.
4. Carol O'Connell: One of my favorite authors. I can't recommend her enough, really, if you like screwed up characters, New York, cops, mystery, and, on top of that, beautiful writing.
5. crime dramas: They follow what I like to call a "trellis" plot -- you have the crime, and the characters grow through it. It's a foundation, to mix metaphors, and you don't have to choose between plot and character.
6. CBS's other three C crime dramas - Criminal Minds, Cold Case, and Close to Home: (Wow, CBS,four six crime dramas that start with C? I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you.) Like CSI:NY, they do a really good job with blending character growth with plot, and they're really interesting characters, too. Plus, the having not as much emotional investment part? Always a plus.
7. Carter, Jack: So screwed, and so in over his head, and dealing as well as he can and with more grace than others would. Plus, talking house.
8. computers: Internet. Word processing. Games. 'Nuff said.
9. Charlie Weasley: Yeah, I don't get it either. He shows up in the books, like, twice, and has next to no lines, which is maybe what makes him endearing? He's a flexible character.
10. cities: Man, I don't know. They don't do much for me in reality, but I love them lots in fiction. I know. I make no sense whatsoever.
Went over to Seattle to tour the UW today. Decent school, but...I really do hate Seattle. And I think the city hates me; every time I go there it rains. It cleared up once we got off campus; what does that say about how the UW feels about me? *rolls eyes* I'd much rather go to a much smaller school back east.
