bedlamsbardI'm kind of alarmed by the fact that I can now pull literary analysis out of thin air. Part of this is Brown, but a large part of it is also fandom. Uh. Stay in fandom, kids, it helps you with school!

Date: 2007-09-11 05:44 am (UTC)I'm a recovering academic (read: on indefinite hiatus from my English PhD dissertation), and, well, a solid year and a half ago I forwarded the opinion that grad students should be *required* to spend some time in fandom, that it would teach them a thing or two, and at the very least they'd come out of it being able to identify their fiction kinks.
