New York Minute 11
May. 17th, 2005 06:14 pmSomeone save me from the Mac/Stella. It's taking over my brain. No, seriously, and I've never even read Mac/Stella, because, well...doesn't...am too afraid to go out and look for really good fic.
(What brought this on? Mac, who got invited to speak at a forensics conference in Chicago, Stella, who also goes, and Mac's parents, who spot them having dinner and promptly demand to know "when exactly you got married, dear, because we haven't heard from you in years." Then it surfaces Mac hasn't seen his parents since before he left the Marine Corps. Oh, and Mac has a license for carrying a concealed weapon in Illinois, and when he goes out to dinner, he wears his gun. DINNER. In a city where he doesn't live OR work. Then, at some undetermined point in the future (as far as I can tell, this takes place in the Snafu-verse), his parents come to New York and somehow get tied up in a murder investigation.)
Help. Mac. Cannot deal.
Also, reasons why CSI: NY pairings will never be distinguished by the characters' names blended together:
A. Because too many of them would look exactly the same.
B. Because we'd be reduced to monosyllables.
C. Because really, they'd just sound weird.
D. Also, they'd make words. Real words.

Mac/Flack: Mack, Flac
Mac/Danny: Manny, Dac
Mac/Stella: Stac, Mella, Stellac
Mac/Aiden: Maiden, Aic
Mac/Hawkes: Mawkes, Hac
Stella/Flack: Stack, Flella

Stella/Aiden: Staiden, Aiella

...I was bored last night. This was in between the Flack/Danny porn and the Mac in Chicago with Stella and his parents.
But seriously, can you just imagine going up to someone and saying, "Hi, I'm a Flanny shipper" or "I write Flaidenny porn" in a low sultry voice.
( Curly's dead. I shot the son of a bitch myself. )
*frowns* I don't like the second half, mainly because I wrote three-fourths of this at a different time than the first part, where my computer froze and I freaked out because I thought I'd lost the file because I REALLY liked the Danny/Aiden scene, but I didn't.
*whew* Also, plot moving too quickly, but oh well, only a C case anyway.
