We who are about to die salute you
Oct. 21st, 2005 05:52 pmGah. Just...gah. Today has totally kicked my ass. I just spent two hours retaking a physics test, and then I went to Shirtworks to place the order for the band sweatshirts and it was closed. And it won't be open all weekend, which means I have to place the order on Monday. I have to write an essay/take home test on the Ancient Greeks for Military History, and I have to do damn well because I screwed up my battle analysis presentation. I have to do a lab write up for Physics, which is something else I have to do damn well on because ha! Screwed up my test, and I'm going to need the points even if the retake goes a lot better than the actual test. I have math homework, but I get it, so that's okay, even though it's new info. *tired*
Oh, and then yesterday the fire alarm went off half an hour before the end of school, so we spent twenty minutes outside in the parking lot waiting for the firemen to clear the school so we could go back in for a grand total of five minutes before leaving again.
My piccolo finally arrived - yay! An instrument less than three feet long - but the day after I have orchestra, and I can't go to orchestra next week because of the band concert. My dad's leaving Tuesday to go to Thailand till March - to teach ESL - and my band concert is next Thursday, so he'll miss that. My first jazz concert. Plus, we suck and we're totally not prepared, so we're going to sound like crap! And it's a half day next Wednesday, which means we have extended periods Tuesday and Wednesday. And then we have Culminating Project on Monday, which means - man, more schedule screw-ups. And Creative Writing Club, which I didn't go to last week because I was so out of it. And my flute lessons start next week.
Wah.
On the other hand, City of Ghosts - aka the Halloween story - is so much fun to write, even if everyone is a heartbeat away from a mental breakdown. EVERYONE. Not just Mac or Danny - Stella, Mac, Danny, Flack, Lindsay, Hawkes, various lab techs.

ETA: Wow, I didn't know the picture was so big. I'll resize it later, when I have more time.
