PRAISE THE LORD AND HALLELUJAH

Dude, I am totally in my dorm on campus. (Why, yes, the first thing I did was set up my computer; why do you ask?) More to come later, but I am here!

I missed you guys. OBVIOUSLY.

Okay, I know one of the reasons I came to this school was because they had really good security, but for the love of God, all I want to do is get into the bathroom and take a shower and the code I have DOES NOT WORK. Also, I have to change the time on my computer because LA's CST, not PST like WA.

I JUST WANT A SHOWER. AND POSSIBLY TO PEE. THAT TOO.

I do, on the other hand, have a sink in my room. I do not, however, have a pillow. Please let there be enough free time tomorrow for me to go to the bookstore and get the following immediately necessary items: pillow, trashcan, handsoap.

Also, the marching band is here, and I am SO DEPRESSED because I only now just realize how much I wanted to do marching band, and I CAN'T because I'm here with NOLA, which is awesome, but oh my god marching.

Also, I know you guys will not believe this, but I do have fic. It will go up...sometime. And by fic, I mean random Peta/Caspian and Peter/Peta crack. Also, immortal!Susan and resurrected!Peter, because apparently I lost my ability to write ACTUAL FIC. Of course, I was handwriting for the first time in ages, so maybe that explains it.

No, seriously, capitalization means something completely different than italics. OBVIOUSLY. Okay, I'm off to go whimper at the bathroom door again. I JUST WANT A SHOWER.

Also, I have never seen this much water come out of the sky at one time before. (Yes, obvioulsy, the reason I went to New Orleans rather than Seattle was, uh...

...New Orleans has a rainy season, unlike Seattle, which just rains all the time?)

Did I mention I don't have a pillow?

Also, Mulate's Cajun Restaurant is amazing. I am spoiled for regular food for the rest of my life.

I am so blissed out from showering, you have no idea. (Not that there weren't showers at Camp Istrouma -- most civilized camp ever, what the hell; I don't know if it's just that I'm really JUST THAT COUNTRY or if other people feel this way.)

Also, J.L. has the best showers ever. OH MY GOD. More to come on this subject at a later point in time, along with pictures of, at the very least, my room as it is RIGHT THIS SECOND. Okay, a few seconds ago, before I picked up the trash.

(It is such a good thing that my roommate isn't coming in until Saturday. *cough* My stuff? All over BOTH sides of the room, and I am totally not going to be actually moved in until about midnight tomorrow.)

Number of people who have commented on my name being Katrina in New Orleans of all places: a few. Probably less if my default explanation was something other than, "Katrina, like the hurricane."
