*calmer now*
Dec. 22nd, 2008 12:10 amHuh. On rewatching of the duel scene in PC (TO CALM ME DOWN. look, I really like fight scenes, and good fight scenes are so rare! it is this or I have to sit down and figure out how Susan actually plans on enacting her plan in Dust 8, a.k.a. Susan is crazy and Jill is confused OH WAIT that sums up the entire story so long as you replaced "Susan" with "the Pevensies" and "Jill" with "everyone else"), the following things are noticed:
Peter's tabard: dark red, like old blood
Susan's skirt: dark red, like old blood
Edmund's tabard: bright red, like fresh blood
Lucy's skirt: light red/auburn, nothing like blood whatsoever
This is Adamson's Narnia. Nothing is a coincidence. I sincerely doubt this is.
In other news, random stuff I have handwritten lately includes:
the Peter and Edmund assassination fic ("Must Be Tuesday")
Edmund confronts Breakneck in the Red Company camp during the Natarene war
Edmund confronts Lune about the kidnapping/assassination attempt in "On a Summer Sunday"
Dust missing scene, about four to six chapters ahead of the current place (this may go up, because it spoils nothing except "nobody dies" and "Peter gets laid")
Peter and Susan makeout scene during the Golden Age
Peter and Susan lost and hunted in the woods during the early Golden Age (there is an adventure plot somewhere, I am sure)
Peter, Susan, and a bunch of RAF officers in a bar a few years before "Shine So Bright" (in which Susan really has to start picking better men and ends up sitting in Peter's lap and making out with him. The good news is the other officers don't actually know they're brother and sister)
In yet other news, Dust 8 is hovering just about 3K.
*pauses* I think I know what it is I want to read. I want lovely and beautiful and hot Narnia makeout scenes. With sex.
Well, heaven knows we ain't gettin' that in Dust, at least not anytime soon or with any degree of seriousness. (Which is not to say that there aren't going to be makeout scenes in Dust, but I make no promises, ever.)
My comfort fic is In a Dry Month. For reference. In case anyone was wondering. (God, no, I don't want to get into how incredibly conceited it probably is that my comfort fic is something I wrote. They are so young! And happy! And not angst-ridden! And Peter gets laid and Edmund is an obnoxious younger brother and Susan is dancing over trade negotiations! IT MAKES ME HAPPY.)
