(no subject)

I am strongly resisting the urge to write a Peter and Edmund Golden Age story called "Bedlam Boys." Mostly because I am having the disconcerting experience of not actually having a plot, but having a title. (I am very nearly always the other way around.) Also because I'm having a moment of, "Dude, what's the etiquette about having part of your name in the title?" (The sad thing is this applies in RL, too. Not with Bedlam, obviously. My RL last name.)

But the plot thing is more important.

Where the hell is this sudden urge to write ten million words of Golden Age fic coming from? Isn't Dust enough? (No! scream the voices in my head. The angst and bitterness is overwhelming us! WE NEED TO BE HAPPY, DAMN IT!)

Classes suck. Why couldn't I go to one of those schools that cancelled for the inauguration? Or have one of those professors? (I do not. Clearly. Although, like, all my friends do.)

In other news, I have not seen my roommate since the day before yesterday. Well, okay.

You know, when my brain decides it suddenly wants to produce Golden Age fic, I expect to start writing, you know, fun and thoughtful and adventurous Golden Age fic during class, not Peter/Susan pegging.

*facpalm* Well, it's fun Golden Age fic, at least.

Dust 10 v.3.0: in which Edmund is a ninja.

In contrast to Dust 10 v.2.0: in which Edmund is a Knight of Narnia.

Hopefully this is the last version, because Dust 10 v.4.0 might involve Edmund as a cowboy, or possibly Batman. (There were cowboys in Dust 10 v.2.0, but Edmund was not one of them. Look, you think I joke about these things, but the sad thing is that I totally don't.)

*sincerely resists the urge to have Peter talk all in RAF slang* Although, you know, he's already going to jail, the worst thing that could happen is that they through him in the Cair Paravel equiavalent of Bedlam...okay, I suppose that could be pretty bad.

I'm still writing Edmund's POV, I just got sincerely distracted by Wikipedia...

Dude. I am not looking up Army slang for Edmund. Peter's enough of a bastard that he'd use RAF slang just to confuse the hell out of people, but Edmund's nicer than that and also it's, like, completely unnecessary.

Peter is not even showing up for another couple of thousand words.

ETA: Well, at this point I would be looking up Army slang for Edmund, but either the Army doesn't have as much slang as the RAF or I just can't find the right websites. I am so going to get jumped on for accidentally having Edmund either use RAF slang or US slang. *sigh* OR. Even better, and with about the same likelihood, accidentally using Army slang but using it from, like, now. Instead of 1949/WWII.

Great. Edmund's lost his mind.

I'm going to sit on this one until after my 8:30 tomorrow, at the very least, because I need to figure out how to end the chapter, and also, Edmund has lost his mind.

Yeah. Yeah, his bodycount just went up by a lot. Although he wins points in the badass category and loses points in the "retains faint sense of humanity" category.
