The paper is not done. (HA!) But! There are werewolves -- or one werewolf, rather. (PC-era werewolves here.) This is LWW -- Maugrim bites Peter, Peter gets turned (but doesn't change that first night), and when the White Witch comes to bargain with Aslan for Edmund, Peter says, "You want one of us? Then take me," and she looks at him and just smiles before knocking him out and having one of her minions sling him over his shoulder. And Aslan doesn't even protest.

This is after that.

He wakes up in a cage. )

Paper #1 is DONE. (It is on a passage in Book 8 of The Odyssey.) Paper #2 is...still a work in progress.

Okay, I'm going to watch...something, oh my god, there are like six shows on Hulu and CBS that I want to watch, then try and plow through Great Expectations before going back to my Theocritus paper. And then Dust, maybe. (Aw, Dust, let us count the times that a character wakes up in chains after being knocked out. Well, okay, I shall admit that the chains thing does not occur quite as often as the knocked out thing. Actually, I think it hasn't happened yet.)

Susan is...kind of scary. FOR A WOMAN WHO'S IN CHAINS.

And she's the only one of the Pevensies that's perfectly willing to use the whole demigod thing to her advantage. She could at least pretend to be bothered by it, but no. She has to fuck with people's heads.

And let's not even get into how cynical she is. But of course; she's Susan. And they're all cynical, but she so matter-of-fact about it. She's not as bitter as some of the others.
