Dec. 1st, 2009 09:23 amWill someone please explain to me why colds are usually accompanied by my jaw hurting every time I blow my nose and then for a good while afterwards? I can deal with the congestion and the sore throat, but the jaw thing just pushes it into intolerability. Which is why I am not on my way to class in the rain right now, despite this being the penultimate class of the semester.
(It's not my whole jaw -- it's the right side, which probably not coincidentally is also the same side that locks and pops. Which was really irritating when I was getting my wisdom teeth pulled, by the way.)
Jaw. Hurts. It's that sort of thing that will really knock me out of the loop, because I can put up with miscellaneous aches and pains, it's just that the moment something more specific kicks in I go batty. Same thing during my periods: I can deal with cramps, but the moment my hips start aching I lose it and reach for the painkillers. Yes, I will actually not reach for the painkillers until then. In case anyone is wondering, I will in fact reach for the ibuprofen for my jaw before I reach for the Dayquil for the cold. Why am I so crazy, world?
In conclusion: owwwwww.
On the bright side, I think I have figured out the topic I want for the paper for the class that I'm skipping.
