Agh, today in the wonderful world of Baking Fail: maple glaze tastes great on scones; unfortunately, I forgot that it drips, also, wire rack; good news is that there was a placemat under the wire rack, because I'm not completely stupid. Bad news is that the maple glaze is on the placemat as well as the scones.
And then I added the extra quarter cup of brown sugar to the muffins I was making, despite the fact that I have made this recipe approximately twelve times (uh, possibly closer to six), and I usually forget to put the extra quarter cup ON the muffins; I don't usually put them IN the muffins. RAGE. Perhaps they'll just be sweeter than usual instead of terrible? One hopes.
Must decide if I'm going to visit the high school today. I should, but I feel like going on April Fools Day is a bad idea, and there's this cake I want to make... Also, I have to make this decision in the next ten minutes.
