bedlamsbard: miscellaneous: cup of tea on a laptop (girlyb_icons) (tea and laptop (girlyb_icons))
Guys -- I have actually managed to sign up for summer classes at Central. This is involved me actually calling them to ask about little things like why the hell haven't I gotten the nice letter they said they'd send me with my student ID and PIN, and the registrar informing me that of course they wouldn't send me that, since I already took a class at CWU so all that information is already on record.

Cue me going, "...when did I take a class at Central? I never did Running Start, I took private lessons but those aren't run through Central -- oh, Cornerstone physics during sophomore year of high school." (Cornerstone: college in high school, a.k.a. the credits that Tulane does not accept, thus me having to take a lab science again.)

So then I got off the phone, then tried to log in and realized I'd only written down seven numbers instead of eight for the student ID, which involved me calling again. (The good thing about having your social be your student ID is that it's exceptionally hard to forget. Naturally, Tulane is changing that this year.) And now I am registered for classes: Latin 151, Physical Geology 101, and the accompanying geology lab. I wondering thoughtfully about taking a PE class up at CWU -- probably Beginning Yoga or Kickboxing and Aerobics. I can't believe that Aerobic Walking is actually a class. There's also Aquacises, but I'm not getting up at seven in the morning to go swimming. (Tulane doesn't have a PE department, so it's kind of easy for me to mock PE classes, but still -- aerobic walking? Seriously?)

...I supposed at some point I should call up Card Services, or Central's equivalent thereof, and ask about getting a Connection Card, which is not really a better name than "SplashCard." (Yeah, my university changed its cards along with everyone's ID numbers too. The new cards are -- shiny?)

Okay, I know where Lind Hall is -- not the Palace of Science (not its actual name; they built it when I was in, I think, elementary or middle school and it is very fancy), it's right by the SURC and right across from my mom's restaurant -- and it looks like the Language and Literature Building is on the other side of campus (of course) right next to the library. Okay, I know where those are too! Looks like a straight walk, especially since I think the actual campus is mostly closed to vehicles. Besides, I've got half an hour in between Latin (if it doesn't get cancelled) and Geology. Half an hour! I am shocked. I'm used to having ten or fifteen minutes to dash from one side of campus to the other, and I think Tulane's campus is longer. Smaller, but longer.

Now, hopefully Latin doesn't get cancelled. (Although if it does, whatever, I'm already signed up for 101 at Tulane this fall; if it doesn't, then I have go futz around with my fall schedule and drop my seminar.)
