bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (knowledge (girlyb_icons))
This is what my desk looks like right now:

That's The Faerie Queene, The Spenser Encyclopedia, and the Fitzgerald Aeneid -- if I'd thought about it I would have pulled out my copy of the Metamorphoses, too. That's the Wikipedia entry for The Faerie Queene on my computer.

As you can see I have finished my Winnow socks and have moved on to a pair of Jaywalkers in Opal Handgefarbt (colorway: "Balsam fur die Seele"). Unfortunately I still have no idea what I want to write about for my thesis aside from "Ovidian and Vergilian references and structure in The Faerie Queene, specifically concentrating on Britomart," which is a little like saying, "Hey, I'd like to talk about images of the Virgin in late medieval and Renaissance Italy," or, "Hey, I'd like to talk about genderfuck AUs in SGA fanfic," to go for something that happened after the year 1700. Erk.
