(no subject)

One of those evenings where it's just like, "Why am I sitting here watching crappy YouTube compilations of the after-credits scenes for a bunch of movies I haven't been able to see yet and bending a bobby pin out of shape?"

Also, spurred by a spate of pins on Pinterest, I will never be down with putting shelves over the head of a bed. Probably not even framed, well, anything. I am from earthquake country, y'all! We have it banged into our heads very early on that is something which must not be done, OR ELSE. (Or else they fall on your head while you're sleeping, obvs. I am pretty uneasy having my shelves over my desk as it is, even though Louisiana is not exactly known for earthquakes.)

Today I kind of had a kitchen disaster, but it tasted okay and I learned stuff, even if it was mostly a failure. (My food processor sucks. I think I would have done better with a morter and pestle, which I sadly do not have.) (I was trying to make kale walnut pesto.) (I also started with frozen kale, which didn't quite work out.) (I cooked it first, but there were some problems.) (Have I mentioned my food processor sucks?) (But toasted walnuts are amazing.)

For dinner I ate four peanut butter cookies and an apple, followed up by some orange swirl ice cream. Yeah, it's been that kind of day. Discuss.
