Nov. 9th, 2011 11:02 amI don't know if it's reassuring or depressing to have a conversation with another senior classics major where the general conclusion is, "Fucking Classics, man, why the fuck do we love this when it hates us?" (In other words: we are in the same boat, in terms of preparation and general ability to get into grad school, except he has more Latin than I do. But he still feels screwed.)
Reassuring, actually. And that's kind of depressing.
Anyway, I have classes for next semester! Or I do for now, anyway; I'll probably drop one when I register for my thesis and I'm hoping that I end up with a public service internship instead of a public service class, but for now:
LATN 3030: Ovid
GREK 1020: Intermediate Greek
CLAS 3090: Law & Society in Ancient Rome (w/ public service)
HISE 6330: Imperial Spain 1469-1659
ENLS 4490: Middle English Mystics
My usual mix of classics and MEMS stuff. *hands* (Because I can't make up my mind, even when I can.)
