I've been getting most of the books for my seminar week to week from the library, either Tilton or Monroe; I was going to go over to Monroe today to get Ferdinand and Isabella before it closes for the break (since someone else already has the book out from Tilton), and THEY DO NOT HAVE THE BOOK. Which means I'm going to have to buy it, and since it's Thanksgiving and mail ops is closed, I'm not going to get it until Monday or Tuesday even with two-day shipping and I'm going to have to have the entire thing read by Wednesday.
MY RAGE. IT IS INCANDESCENT. If I had known this a week ago, whatever, I could have gotten it in time, but it is not a week ago and I am PISSED. And I probably can't get it from the bookstore, since by now they must have already started setting up the textbook section for next semester and have probably sent back the unbought textbooks from this semester.
Obviously it is also a $30 book that is not available cheaper, which would at least alleviate some of my rage. Ugh. Well, at least I don't have to worry about getting that read over the holiday. I guess I should just check to make sure the bookstore doesn't actually have it, since I believe they're still open today.
Other thrilling things that have so far happened today: all my roommates have left, leaving me alone and giving me a sad (I don't mind being alone, I'm just, I don't know, minorly pissed or something), I went to the grocery store and am now pissed because of how much everything costs (it's the fruit, mostly; and I shop at Whole Foods), and when I was changing my clothes I got a SURPRISE BLOODY NOSE, obviously on my clean shirt instead of the dirty one, argh.
On the other hand, I suddenly realized where the next scene in Dust whatever the fuck the current chapter is going and WENT OMG DUST I SHOULD WRITE IT NOW, but then the bloody nose thing happened and I forgot about it and watched some Eureka instead.
Today I braved the grocery store. It was...alarming. But not as crazy as last year, maybe because it was earlier in the day.
