Feb. 8th, 2013 11:40 pmAnd in what should be a surprise to absolutely nobody, two of my bullet-proof kinks remain "dangerously codependent siblings" and "dysfunctional god families with very human problems." Since I got both -- though not in the same source -- this week, I am a happy, happy camper.

I vacuumed! And then promptly got my window stuck open and had to go beg Maintenance to fix it. AND THIS IS WHY WE DON'T CLEAN, KIDS. Maintenance fixed it, though.

And (one of) the reason(s) I don't go on FB often is because every time I post, the only person who comments is my grandmother, saying things like, "I know England/grad school is tough, but it's only a year, you'll be home soon." EVERY TIME. I love my grandmother, but dear gods.
Sometimes my family just makes me want to stay on the opposite side of the planet forever. (Which to be fair would also be in keeping with family tradition, I just went to the other side of the planet than the rest of the family did, a.k.a. Asia and/or America, depending. Fleeing to Australia looks more and more attractive every day. I don't think my family is dysfunctional until I think about it.)

Reading my professor's book from Conflict, Violence, and Warfare in Antiquity class. Is it absolutely necessary to have a preface, an introduction, and a prelude? Surely one of the three would be enough? Two, tops?
