bedlamsbard: miscellaneous: woman pulling her pink corset tight (a woman's armor (ravenclawbest))
Wow, I should not be trusted to take care of myself. Hands and wrists are definitely better (yesterday I woke up and did not want to rip them off!), though because I am a mature and responsible adult, I ended up writing last night not only past the point when I was in pain then (my new laptop stand arrived, so I was at a different angle than I'm used to) in my neck, hands, wrists, and elbows, to the point where I knew I'd be in pain in the morning. (I took preemptive painkillers. I never take preemptive painkillers. My hands were also shaking when I was trying to get them out of the package, so, uh, maybe they weren't so preemptive. I also didn't take them until right before I was going to bed; if I'm doing something and in pain because of that, I'm probably not going to take painkillers and keep on doing it because I worry about damaging myself even more by not realizing I'm in pain. Uh, as we've established, I have painkillers issues.)

At least, even with all that, I was not in as much pain as I expected when I woke up or in as much pain when I woke up as I have been over the past week. Granted, I also woke up at 8:30 because my alarm went off for some reason, and then I drifted in and out of actually being awake for the next three hours before getting up. (...adulthood!)

At this point I'm pretty sure I've put more work into this chapter than I have into any of my postgraduate papers so far. It's certainly better edited. *facepalm* I don't know when Dust turned into a horror novel.
