(no subject)

Today we lost power for four hours when part of a tree came down on the house power line. GOOD TIMES, MAN. Thankfully it was only four hours and PSE turned off the electricity pretty quickly, so we didn't have a live power line lying around until the electrician fixed it.

Weirdly at about this time last year, when I got back from Tulane, the pump went out and we had no water for, what, two days?

Mostly I am sitting around reading a lot, baking a lot, and despairing at my poor internet connection in this house.
