Jul. 5th, 2014 04:31 pmI'm trying to move delicately into that stage of my life where I experiment with makeup -- yeah, what up, I'm twenty-four and I don't know how to put on makeup -- which at this point in time mostly involves me putting on lip shimmer when I go into town.
It kind of freaks me out how different I look with just a little bit of color on my lips. (I'm using Burt's Bees lip shimmer in raisin, for reference. I like it, though when they're back in stock at Freddy's I'm going to try something a little lighter and pinker.) I look like...an actual adult? Although it helps that I switch to a different pair of glasses, since right now I'm still wearing my lower prescription except when I'm driving, and my other pair has chunky red frames that are more attention-grabbing than my black wire frames for my wear-at-home glasses. And then I'm like, well, I went this far, I might as well throw on some earrings too. So it's like: lip shimmer, red glasses, earrings, maybe a couple of bobby pins to smooth down the flyaways in my hair I usually don't bother with at home. And then I look like an actual adult and it kind of freaks me out, because it shouldn't make that much of a difference. WITCHCRAFT.
