(not) Wednesday reading meme
Jan. 15th, 2015 04:41 pmI kept putting this off yesterday because I was five pages from the end of Sunshine basically all day and then, you know, midnight and stuff.
What I've just finished
Book-wise, I finished my reread of Sunshine by Robin McKinley, which is as ever a delight and makes me want to bake. In short stories, I read Seanan McGuire's "No Sooner Met", which is a Tybalt and Toby short from her October Daye world. In comics, I did a reread of "Rite of Passage" from the Star Wars: Quinlan Vos - Jedi in Darkness omnibus (I didn't feel like doing a full reread on the omnibus, I just wanted to do a characterization check on the mains in that arc), and then of course Marvel's Star Wars #1 came out yesterday, so that was a delight.
What I'm currently reading
With Sunshine done, The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch moves to my ebook main read -- this is another reread. In hard copy I'm still working on The Midnight Mayor by Kate Griffin (also a reread). In comics I'm rereading Star Wars: In the Shadow of Yavin. (I'm doing a lot of rereads right now.)
What I'm reading next
Star Wars: X-Wing: Rogue Squadron once I finish The Midnight Mayor, but otherwise the same as last week: still trying to close out my in-progress books from 2014.
