*pokes Omerta* I am...huh, I'm nervous about Omerta, because the plot's complicated and even I don't know exactly what's going on. I mean, I know the bones, but a few key parts are missing. Like the femur and the jaw and a couple ribs. Plus, I need to bring in an unrelated sub-plot that probably should have been introduced by now. Then there's the other two sub-plots of the Anna Dove case and Nick Bonasera, and of course, the ever-present equation of Mac and Stella. Plus, Val has decided to go off on one of his, "hmm, I don't think I'll tell the author what's going on" rampages.

Oh, and the fact that I'm apparently more interested in my originals than I have been since April.

might do Omerta (and you) good to leave it alone for a while--give it some time to stew, some time for you to think, and work on the originals.

I think taking the two week break from it is what's at the root of the problem. Or at least, one of the roots, because I got distracted and didn't have opportunity to work on it. If I set it aside now, nobody might see it again for a year, and this is why I've never finished anything prior to Snafu and New York Minute. But yeah, laying off a little, trying to divide my brain between the originals and Omerta.

Hmm. Good point. I guess-- actually, you've probably already done this, but--like... read over it, and outline what you've already written, and see if that helps clarify things. (what am I saying, here? I never finish things.) I mean, who knows, maybe if you give your originals more spotlight, the CSIs will get jealous and demand your attention.

At any rate. Yeah. Luck on that.
