I've spent the day deleting stuff off my computer (my other computer, not my laptop) and deleting music off my iPod. I don't know what I want more, a new iPod (160GB! compared to my measely 4GB mini!) or an external harddrive.

Preferably both.

I'm so desperate for a new iPod right now... I have one of the old shuffles... half a GB. It's like HELL ON EARTH. A 4 GB (even a 2 gig) would be amazing compared to what I've got right now.

*shudders* I think I would die. I had to delete six CDs worth of music just so I could put the In the City of Seven Walls podfic onto my iPod, and man, does podfic ever take up a lot of space.

I need a new iPod, too. My 60GB video 'Pod died on me a few months ago and I now have a 4GB to tide me over until I can get a 'big one' again. It's mostly OK, but with an iTunes library of 7,000 songs, and me being such a completist, I wish I could actually have all 7,000 songs (and a bunch of photos and videos as well) on the go with me. Heh. I'm just greedy, I think.

Oh, I hear you. And I have a ton of podfic on mine, too, which takes up more space than music, so...*sigh*

Is there a size limit to text files that you can add onto an iPod? I ask because I've tried to do this and I only end up ever getting part of the fic/article/essay to show up on my iPod. Unless that's not what you were referring to with 'podfic'. :)

Er, I have no idea. By podfic I mean audiofic, or spoken fic; the idea of trying to read something on my iPod makes me want to rip my eyes out in pain; I've already got pretty bad eyesight.

No, I totally missed it, but I've been doing skip=120s in under 5 minutes whenever I can grab a bit of spare time, so I try to catch the important people (OF WHICH YOU ARE ONE), and don't always succeed. It's in my tabs now, to read as soon as I finish homework.
