bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (new york city (inyourpants_))

I've been really stressed for the past week or so -- I couldn't quite figure out why, until it hit me yesterday. (At Creative Writing Club. Go figure.) It's the college thing. No, really, go figure. And I won't go into it, because it's been all over my journal for the past week, but God, that explains so much. *twitches* Plus, you know, the next two months are really busy for -- well, everyone, but especially seniors. Band competitions, job shadow (at the AFROTC detachment at CWU!), various senior crap, senior project presentations (which they changed again, omgwtf), more senior crap, having to, I don't know, figure out where to go to college...

CSI:Miami: Eric saying, "If she dies, I'll come back here and kill you"? So much more convincing than Horatio saying, "If anything happens to my CSI, this will be your last week on Earth." (Or, you know, something.) Also, Horatio did not totally just do that. CSI:Miami. Seriously. No. Just, no. Guys, I write military sci-fi and my main character is a special forces officer who kills people if they breathe wrong around him (oh, you only think I'm kidding), and he couldn't even have pulled off an antic like that. John Sheppard couldn't pull off an antic like that. John Crichton couldn't pull off an antic like that. John Winchester couldn't pull off an antic like that. (Anybody think we have two many Johns in television? Yeah.) Also, the end was so bad I wanted to cry. Well, not really, but that was -- oh god. CSI:Miami. Seriously.

Criminal Minds: Missed the beginning, god damn it. Kevin, why is it I keep seeing you and going, "Xander? What are you doing with the FBI? Why did you get Willow's computer genius?" Also, Emily's hair is going to make me cry. It's so wrong. (And if I notice it, then you know something's wrong.) No, I would be creeped out at you too, Rossi. Oh, poor Reid. Oh, Hotch. Anyone notice he's not wearing his wedding ring anymore? I was expecting him to sign his divorce papers (oh, Hotch) and take his ring off, and, like, look at it for a while or something, but he wasn't wearing it at all. I know some cops don't wear their wedding rings on the job, but we've seen him with his wedding ring before, so it's a little weird. Did anyone notice the way Morgan stomped off when JJ told them about Kevin and Garcia? That says something. I like this show.

CSI:NY: Yes, I see you're going the way of your older brothers. Yes, it pains me too. I really don't care about you anymore. I just watch you for old time's sake. Oh, all right, sometimes I kind of vaguely wonder what this crew would make of Bardverse Danny, if I was to rewrite the Bardverse with "Snow Day" as a starting point (because oh my God, I kindasortamaybenotreally did that), but not to the extent that I'd actually write it. The assassin does not impress me. Flack is a geek. Mac actually strikes me as someone who wasn't actually in the Marines for very long -- I mean, we know he was an officer, so we can assume at least four years if he was Annapolis or NROTC, but I don't think he stayed in beyond that. Would it surprise anyone to hear that my favorite part was the Navy SEAL? "Twenty different ways." Special forces, man. You never see 'em coming.

Without a Trace: Missed the beginning here, too. Don't particularly care. Loved -- crap, I forgot her name. How do I forget her name? -- shooting her gun next to the perp's ear. Never see that happen on other shows.

Numb3rs: Baby, you can have me anytime. This is one of the few shows on the air where I really love all the characters -- the others include NCIS, Bones, The Unit (oh god come back), and Criminal Minds -- and this one hasn't dropped the ball. It never has. It always has a lot of consistency, both in character and in plot. "Black Swan" was no different. We've got Don going steadily more crazy, Colby hanging out with Charlie and thinking mathematically (yes, yes, yes -- seriously, if I start writing fic for anything I currently watch, it'll be Numb3rs and it'll be Charlie/Colby), Megan being nervous and twitchy and stressed... *happy sigh* Actually, if I were to make a prediction for what's going to happen, I'd say that the PTB are planning to make Don have a breakdown of some kind -- I don't know what, but I expect it's coming, and it'll probably involve prisoner abuse -- and to split up Charlie and Amita. I can see two ways -- realistic ways -- right now to do so. One involves the way Amita's increasingly getting nervous about working FBI cases. I don't remember the names or the episodes right now, but the computer game one where Amita nearly got killed probably started it, and then the one where there was a death threat out on Charlie shows how it's escalating. (Also, hello hypocrisy, but that's how real people are.) The other one is is something brought up in "Black Swan", and I'm wondering if Amita might maybe choose to go back to India. When I started writing here, I used the first one, but I think both are equally likely. Also, seriously, so much love for Colby. His bashful look! And thinking like a mathematician! The slash writes itself.

Cold Case: I don't actually remember. *facepalm*
