Summary: The poetry does not matter. It was not (to start again) what one had expected. For the pattern is new in every moment and every moment is a new and shocking valuation of what we have been. One story: five views.

Author's Notes: This takes place during Prince Caspian, after the attack on Miraz's castle and before the council of war. In the universe I'm working in, it may take place before Long Forgotten Wars, but prior knowledge of the 'verse isn't necessary.
