I'm currently wearing Brown sweatpants and a Stanford t-shirt...and I'm a student at Tulane.

Well, I'm amused.

ETA: My roommate just brought me fresh-baked cookies. I have the best roommate ever. (For, you know, dessert to my healthy dinner of microwave popcorn, an apple, some jerky, and a few Junior Mints. Look, I missed Bruff's hours because I went to a turbo kick class at Reily and worked out.)

I left most of my Other College gear at home (and I have a lot of it, because I did summer programs at Stanford and Brown), but this was my only pair of sweatpants (I now do have a pair that says "Tulane" down the side) and this is a Stanford EPGY t-shirt; I was hoping to find other EPGY (said summer program) kids.

college gear is so expensive, man! the only clark stuff i bought were gifts that ppl requested, i was loathe to buy crap from the bookstore. so mostly i just stole pens and postcards and supposedly a tiny piece-of-shit-looking radio (though i haven't figured out how to work it) from the admissions office (worked as a tour guide) on slow days.

um, a susan/tom riddle ficlet will probably be on my LJ within the next 48 hours. WOO.

Good for you for working out...and now you just negated the benefits of all that exercise with that dinner. *laughs* I'm glad you have a nice roommate and have been making friends. You already seem much more at ease than you were the first couple of days. :)

Here's the lyrics to that song I mentioned, Viva La Vida. Interesting.

Oh! Viva La Vida!

By the way, here's a video made for Peter using this song (if you didn't know already),

And here's another one,

I find them very interesting. And then this sort of become a Peter's song for me, because whenever I hear it I will think of Peter. *facepalm*

Tulane gives us so much free stuff, though -- I have eight free t-shirts from them, and seven of them say "Tulane" on them. (The eighth one is from AFROTC; I went long enough to get the shirt before I quit.)

I see your "WOO" and raise you a "WHOO-HOO."

The dining hall was closed! And it was a healthy, well-balanced meal. Except for the popcorn. And Junior Mints.)

Every time I hear that song on the radio, I stop and go, "Oh, Peter," although not as much as I do for Dawn of the Dead (http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/does_it_offend_you_yeah_lyrics_39733/you_have_no_idea_what_youre_getting_yourself_into_lyrics_71399/dawn_of_the_dead_lyrics_773476.html), which once made me stop dead in Borders when it came on and struggle not to cry. Because I am, uh, just that pathetic, apparently.

Ah, the last time I mentioned it, you hadn't heard it then. It's been all over the radio lately, so I'm not surprised...that bit about the seas rising at his word always makes me think of your verse, particularly. :)

It is a crazy Peter song. Er, not a crazy Peter song, but...uh, crazy as adjective referring to "Peter song" rather than "Peter." Okay, I swear that I occasionally make sense.
