bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (the die hard way (likefluffy))

* Okay, my happy Peta/Caspian porn was not supposed to reveal that Peta has PTSD. Maybe they'll just end up cuddling instead. *shakes head* Peta, honey, using Caspian to see if magic, uh, magically removed your trauma is not really the best idea, not if you don't let him know you're doing it.

* I need a Peta icon, even though I have no space left for it, and also, I have no idea who I'd cast as Peta. The only person I can think of is Keira Knightley, but Keira's features aren't nearly as strong as Peta's are, in my head (least. visual. writer. ever), and Peta has more cleavage. Also, Keira is my mental casting for girl!Anakin Skywalker, so that messes with my head even more.

* I have a saxophone! It's a Yamaha tenor sax checked out from Tulane (oh my God, they don't make you pay to rent instruments here, so much love), and it's, like, in gorgeous condition. There's no tenor player for the concert band, and even though I auditioned on flute, I also mentioned that I play saxophone and that I played tenor for a year in high school, so I'm playing tenor. Awesome. Of course, now we have to see if I, uh, remember how to play.

* Saw the series premiere of Life last night on Hulu, and man, that looks interesting. And there's a whole season to catch up on, and it's free, and then the second season starts. All y'all that are here from Narnia fandom really do not have any idea just how much TV I watch, and how much of it is crime dramas. It'll go down since I'm not at home and I don't actually have a TV, so I have to watch everything on my laptop and knit during it (which is frustrating, because usually I write and watch TV, and I can't do that if I'm watching TV on the computer unless I split-screen, and I may do that, depending on the level of background noise I want for it), but seriously -- I watch a lot of TV.

* No, Peta, seriously, you are damn lucky Caspian's such a nice guy he's actually going to notice that you've gone straight past "making a conscious effort" and "lying back and thinking of Narnia" to "I'm not here at all."

* Y'all have no idea how many weapons I had to look up on Wikipedia to put in Peter's secret stash. *bemused* Including garroting wire, the devil.

ooooooooooooh

Amusingly, it is a throwaway detail in "The Bone's Prayer", the WIP, although somehow as soon as Peter realizes Edmund brought it back he's going to come up with a plan to sneak into the Telmarine camp and assassinate Miraz. And Edmund has to talk him out of it.

It was bizarre for me too, but it makes sense, just...oh, my brain. And poor Peta, and poor Caspian, and you gave me the prompt. *glares, kindly and lovingly*

I wasn't thinking trauma, I was thinking porn!

Strange kid, that Peta. She did ask to be tied up. Caspian deserves a bonus cookie for picking up on what's going on, if he'd never done that sort of thing before. For all he knew that could've been a perfectly normal response/

I was also thinking porn!

I am under the impression that Peta was attempting to exorcise old ghosts, and that it, uh, did not go well. As we can see. By the panic. That girl, she is damn lucky to have Caspian.

She is occasionally very, well, uh, very...stubborn. And, shall we say, less than sensible.

I just want to pick her up and cuddle her and say it's OK to get hurt. Only that's Caspian's job, I guess.

And then Caspian gets punched. At least he's learned not to say anything just yet.

ahaha yes. But that's what she need's Caspian for... someone strong enough to withstand the punchings!

Caspian's freaking AWESOME to her. He'll support her, protect her, take the beatings she doles out on him for having seen her weak AND he'll take her orders in battle. And do it all again tomorrow. (Now, that's a point. Would this Caspian have hared off in the night raid by himself?)

Peta icon... what about Julia Stiles? I'm trying to find an image of her in her 10 Things soccer kit, but google isn't my friend right now.

I want this Caspian. He's not as much of a schemer as in the regular Warsverse because Peta's a woman, not a man; he doesn't see her as a rival the way he does Peter, and she beats it into his head a whole lot quicker than Peter does that she's in charge.

Depends. I'm not sure Peta would have talked to him after that, much less slept with him, so it depends a bit of the timing, and what details of PC Peta being a chick changes. I mean, for one thing, she's going to look at things very differently than Peter.

But the raid was a good plan; it was just Caspian who screwed it up. Of course, after he screws it up, I kind of doubt Peta's going to let him into bed with her.

*cocks head* Maybe, but...the face is wrong. I'm not sure what, exactly, but I think Peta has stronger features? (I have to look at lots (http://www.bifa.org.uk/asset/890/1141405204_large.gif) of (http://content7.flixster.com/photo/11/08/32/11083257_ori.jpg) pictures (http://images.rottentomatoes.com/images/spotlights/2008/rtuk_feature_william_moseley_01.jpg) of (http://z.about.com/d/scifi/1/7/p/B/-/-/zPeter.jpg) William (http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/sv04qk0PwoX/Ben+Barnes+William+Moseley+Ring+Closing+Bell/BTCgA90mTPy/William+Moseley) Moseley (http://costumes.narniaweb.com/pevensiesfiles/petercoronation3.jpg). As we can see, this is very hard for me. Quite a trial, really.)

Oh, wow, I'm traumatized. Susan looks, like, thirty and Peter...looks like a woman. So does Edmund, actually. (http://www.plasticandplush.com/plasticandplush/images/2008/02/15/pevensie.jpg)

Huh...Natalie (http://www.shoeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/natalie-portman-shoe-4africa.jpg) Portman (http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/080219/Natalie-Portman-Boleyn_l.jpg), maybe? Hair and eye color are wrong (wait, are William Moseley's eyes blue or green? I've been saying blue, but now I can't tell), but the face is right.

The whole family's eye colour changes throughout the movie- when they're apart, they have various eye colours, when together, they all have blue contacts in. It's quite annoying.

Gah, Adamson, they are called SUBTLETIES. Have you been paying attention to the HP fiasco with Daniel Radcliffe's BLUE eyes and Harry Potter's GREEN eyes? The audience notices.

A younger Jessica Alba, anyway, from her Dark Angel days, although she was a brunette then...

Natalie Portman might make a good Edwina.

Huhn. I have a very specific image in my mind for Edwina. I think it's the girl who plays Amelie? She has her hair, at least.

I may have stolen *only* Amelie-girl's hair for Edwina. But then, usually I never ever think about matching an RL person to a character. *shrug*
