i need a tv show
Jan. 4th, 2009 11:46 pmAnd today in the wonderful world of Narnia AUs, I will give my POV character a concussion, thus rendering him unable to adequately parse the events happening around him. SMART, BEDLAM. REAL SMART.
The Tirian/Eustace subtext in Dust 9 (I switched POVs) is pretty much up there with the Peter/Susan, Edmund/Susan, and Peter/Susan/Edmund subtext in Dust 5, though.
Seriously, this is going to be the most boring chapter ever because Eustace is going to spend a couple of days going, "oh, woe is me, my head is pounding and my ears are ringing and for some reason there are two of you and you are really blurry." Except, well, that's what happens when you get knocked out really hard, and Eustace got his head smashed into a table in Dust 7.
Although it really limits my options as far as this chapter goes. (On the other hand, though, Peter was starting to channel Dean Winchester, and that was kind of a scary thing, so I figured changing POVs was a good idea.)
Could go back to Tirian, though. At this point, though, I can only cycle through the three of them before I start repeating. Let's see where horribly concussed Eustace takes us, shall we? Besides making the Tirian/Eustace subtext really obvious. (No, seriously. WAY UP THERE.)
ETA: I see we shall call this the chapter of excessive Wikipedia-ing and head injuries. Also, Peter can be kind of a bastard sometimes.
