Hey, remember King Absalian the Blind from Dust? I've been glancing over Old Timber since someone asked about it, and I just realized that I originally used the name there, for a Telmarine lord that fled Telmar after the old king was killed and the new king took over.

*facepalm* Smart, Bed. This is why you keep notes of your characters' names. I've done this before once that I know of them -- there's a Royal Guard named Hazhir, but the first time I used the name was for the Calormene ambassador at Cair Paravel in a commentfic.

On the other hand, looking at Old Timber (the Caspian in the Golden Age story) makes me remember just how much I need to rewrite. *sigh*

And so what?
It was more than 1300 years later. There is no law that a name can be used only once, or is there? ;P

It's not particularly relevant, though; it makes more sense just to change Golden Age Absalian's name (if he even makes it into the next draft of Old Timber) than to keep it.
