So, I guess the only thing worse than reading a multi-chapter WIP is reading all the author's tantalizing bits and pieces of the writing process in between the chapters because it makes each update so frustratingly close, yet so far away. :P Though, it is fun to see all the things you mention/rant about in your journal, slipped into each chapter in their proper positions. I see you managed to keep the salt mines down to just one line. :)
Great chapter! You have a very pleasing mixture of talking and action in each chapter, and all the little details you include about surroundings and such help create a very 'cinematic' visualization in my mind, if you will. Are Edmund and Lucy ever going to take a level in badass to match their older siblings? That would be pretty awesome.
