Excuse me. As I write about Cair Paravel flooding. (Half of what we talked about in Natural Disasters was New Orleans flooding? Look, it makes an impression.)
Also the hurricane that hit when Tirian was eleven. Although that one hit Glasswater and not Cair Paravel proper.
Really, after reading Curry: A Tale of Cooks and Conquerors and going on a nostalgic bent about Cajun food at the dinner table (okay, I swear I was just trying to head my father off before he went off on another rant about the Obama administration and how liberals are ruining America), I'm probably just building up to another foodporn scene.
You know, it's a good thing that this isn't a Peter or Susan POV chapter and that I swear to God Dust is gen (or, well, gen with SUBTEXT), because otherwise there would be the implication that the King of Summer and the Queen of Spring getting it on brought on the deluge. (Actually, there's probably still this implication, it's just that Tirian isn't getting it, thank God. Although I'm sure Eustace's reaction would be seven kinds of hilarious.)
