Last night, approx. 12:30: get out of shower, brush hair, go to brush teeth, find faucet producing odd noises and NO WATER. Make soft panicked noises and brush teeth dry rather than wake roommate, who won't be able to do anything anyway. Hope that problem will be resolved in the morning.
This morning, approx. 6:22: awoken by sound of faucet making horrid noises, blearily inquire of roommate if the sink is "still messed up." Am informed that it is. Curse wearily and hope that ServiceWave is working over Thanksgiving. Am later informed that there is some measure of panic in voice.
This morning, approx 7:40: finally get up, get dressed, tread warily over to the sink, eye it, and turn faucet on, to find WATER. Coming out of the FAUCET. With only a few odd noises! A few minutes later, faucet is working happily, water washing away the black splotches that were apparently spit out when roommate attempt to use it. Dance with joy. Decide to boil water for rest of the week/end. (And this is why I drink tea all the time in college; COME TO NEW ORLEANS DON'T DRINK THE WATER.)
