bedlamsbardDude, y'all, I'm all dolled up and I kind of feel like a Japanese housewife dressing up to be shipped off to the internment camps. Or possibly (more or less macabre), like a GI's girl in Hawaii right before Pearl Harbor, effect slightly enhanced by the fact that all the NROTC guys are wandering around on campus in uniform. It depends if I'm wearing my black pumps or flip-flops. (Did they have flip-flops in the 1940s?)
I'm wearing this dress (despite the reviews, it also looks very good on skinny small-busted girls; I suppose it would fill out the bust slightly more if I wore a padded bra, but I don't have any), with pearls and my "well-behaved women seldom make history" earrings (perfect for Tamora from Titus Andronicus!) I might switch to jeans and a t-shirt, since I want to cook later and I don't have an apron. (See! Now is the occasion when having a fancy apron sitting around would be a good thing!)
Maybe I'll see if one of my roommates would be willing to take a picture later.
