Bloody Sunday update
Dec. 17th, 2005 04:28 pmSo I worked on Bloody Sunday today and got a good bit of Chapter Four done, which makes me happy. More Val and Carmine than I'd thought originally, but I read through bits of Omerta, Snafu, and New York Minute last night and today to get a feel for the universe (it's been a long time), and then checked out the outline, and I think they need to be in the story earlier on than the outline calls for them to be, just to set up some of the stuff that happens later. Some of the stuff that was sort-of-maybe-kinda-not-really tied up at the end of Omerta is brought up and explained (did Constantine really join the Commission? What happens after Patriso is brought down?). This should be the last book in the series, so I'm doing my best to tie up the over-all series plot arcs. Not all of them will be, of course, since I'd originally planned a nine-story series, with about five major stories. Those would have been Snafu, New York Minute, Omerta, Bloody Sunday, and Dangerous Heroes. Dangerous Heroes (the bardverse version) will probably never be written; it has to do much more with the Mafia than with the Crime Lab. More specifically, it had to do with Luciano "Lucky" Constantine, which is a thread brought up in Omerta that will probably never be tied up, because I am so not bringing him into Bloody Sunday. That's a can of worms I do not want to deal with. I also wanted to tie up some of Stella's family stuff, but I don't think I can cover that in Bloody Sunday either. Maybe short stories later on.
*cough* Ahem. Yes.
Also, going to Victoria BC next week, so if you don't hear from me, that's where I am.
