bedlamsbardYou know, the thing that I really like about writing the Cair Paravel scenes in Dust is how much fun it is to take something real-world and see how it might be twisted if you recast it with talking animals. A content advisory for violence against (talking) animals will be necessary for this chapter, I think. (If they weren't talking, I still would have added a content advisory; the same for if they had been human or non-animal nonhumans.)
I think Lewis would probably not approve. Oh, well.
Also, I'm going to tentatively decide that three major plot threads (Archenland, Cair Paravel, and the High Reaches) are enough for right now in Dust part II. Partially because if I have to do any more set-up I'm going to snap, partially because if I have too many plot threads something, inevitably, suffers, and partially because any other plot thread is going to be forced, since I'm blanking on anything major that actually interests me. (This means that we might not get a Peter or Tirian POV for half the fic, though, but dear gods, I have eight POV characters already, surely having a few step out of the spotlight isn't uncalled for?)
