1. thank the person who tagged you.

1. Thank you,
stellaluna_!
2. a. I keep all the fortunes I get from fortune cookies, as well as the special little "I love you" and "Be my Valentine" tags Hershey puts in kisses around Valentine's Day. I have never got a love and romance fortune, despite the many, many, many I have. The closest I have gotten is "You will soon hear pleasant news of a personal nature," and "You will make someone's heart grow fonder."
b. I have been to the countries of Canada, America (obviously), England, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Japan, and Thailand, and to the states of Washington (live there), Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virgina, Maryland, Michigan, Illinois, and Washington D.C.
c. I went to a tiny elementary school (forty people, give or take) and graduated from fifth grade the only girl out of a class of four.
d. I was weaned on Greek mythology, the Arthurian mythos, and Edgar Rice Burroughs. The first comics I ever read were my dad's old Gold Key Tarzan comics.
e. The first instrument I ever played was piano. I've been playing for about twelve years. The second one was recorder. The recorder is not an instrument. The next was flute, and I've been playing for six years. Then violin, and I try not to talk about that, because I don't really like string instruments (which doesn't explain why I'm in an orchestra, but hey). I played for about six weeks through a school program Then baritone saxophone, my baby - about a year and three months. Then alto saxophone, about a year, and latest but not least - well, okay, it is least, going by size - piccolo. Maybe three months?
3. If any of y'all want to do this, it's all yours. I'm not going to tag anyone.
Oh, dear God, I have finals tomorrow. I have a PHYSICS final tomorrow. Make me die now.

The first I ever read were some very old Donald Duck comics, which I now realize were probably written by Carl Barks, and Archie. Plus tons of fairy tales and collections of myths.

Date: 2006-01-26 11:41 pm (UTC)I was a well-traveled child. The first time I went to Japan I was ten months old. I've been back since then. Germany was only - oh, one night, two days, before we went on to France. England was just a stop-over. So were Illinois and Michigan, and Pennsylvania's only in the sense of "having driven through in the dead of night." My dad's been to more countries than me, but I've been to more states.

I have a couple of those - er, Donald Duck, not Archie. And Scrooge McDuck! The Yukon one, with the gold and the...it's in my room, I don't want to go look for it. And the fairy tales and myths, definitely. It's where I get my massively screwed up world-outlook.
