I am, like, extremely in love with the medieval Castilian law code. (Parts of which are still present in Louisiana's modern law code!) SPEAKING OF BALLS. It is equal to homicide to wrongfully castrate someone, but it's all right to castrate someone if it is for medical purposes. OR FOR PREVENTIVE MEDICINE, though I have no idea what that's going to prevent.
Also there's a surprising amount about hermaphrodites.
