bedlamsbardI have been reminded that I should write up the answers for the pairings meme. So!
2. A rough-and-ready detective and the woman who's smarter than he is.
I had a couple of people guess this one as a Bones, Booth/Brennan, which is close enough I accepted it, but I was actually thinking of Lindsey Davis's Falco books, Falco/Helena Justina. Probably the most obscure one on the list, heh.
4. A woman with many lives and a man with one.
Fringe, Olivia Dunham/Peter Bishop. All the universes out there and we've only got one living Peter, but there's always an Olivia -- and sometimes she's someone else.
15. He's sworn to celibacy and she's married to someone else.
A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones, Jaime/Cersei. The third incestuous pairing on this list! And it probably also could have counted for Cesare/Lucrezia, heh.
19. A thief who comes up with grand plans and his partner who makes them work.
Ocean's 11, Danny/Rusty. <3 I think they're darling.
Hey, y'all got 16/20! I am not as obscure as I thought I might be. A lot of them were canon, four of them were from the same fandom, most of them were het, and three were incestuous. One was twincestuous! And one was so old-school it's 3000 years old, heh.
