Regarding Jill, I think it's important to remember that she has been in Narnia for the past five years and her opinions aren't necessarily that different from the other Narnian rebels that we've seen, including the ones in this chapter. And that her experience in Narnia has been very, very different from Susan's or the other Pevensies'.
It's not a Bedlam fic until you have either a food description or a fight scene! And I backed off the fight scenes here. :)
I am so glad for Eustace's diary excerpts in VotDT, since it gives a taste of his writing style. He's probably a terrible correspondent.
